Progressive works with you throughout the entire claims process — from initial response through final resolution — to provide caring service and to settle your insurance claim as quickly as possible.
How do I report an insurance claim and how will you service my claim?
- To report your insurance claim, simply login on this page. You’ll be asked some initial questions, and we’ll begin resolving your claim immediately.
- A Progressive claims representative will contact you (usually within two hours of reporting your claim) to answer your questions and schedule an inspection of your vehicle. Be sure to ask the claims representative any questions you have about deductibles, service, coverage or repairs.
- After you submit your claim, well inspect your vehicles damage and provide an estimate for your repairs.
- If you need help, well even arrange vehicle repair service and towing, too. You can choose a repair facility within Progressives network or use our concierge level of claims service (depending on availability) and well schedule the appointment for you when you report the claim. If you prefer, you can also choose your own repair facility.
- Your claims representative can make arrangements if you need a rental car. (Keep in mind that rental reimbursement varies based on policy coverage and accident circumstances.)
- While your vehicle is being fixed, you can stay informed about the repair progress by periodically checking with us. If you need to address any further issues while your vehicle is in the shop, such as additional damage, supplemental payments, or changes to the expected completion date, well give you a call.
- Regardless of whether you choose a repair shop in Progressives network or use our concierge claims service for vehicle repairs, youll receive a copy of our Limited Lifetime Guarantee, which is valid for as long as you own or lease your car.
- If you file a commercial auto claim, rest assured that youll still receive the same superior claims service. Progressives commercial auto claims approach is to match your specific needs with the appropriate experts.

In addition, when you choose a repair shop in our network, you can electronically monitor your vehicles status and progress (in real-time) using Progressives online system – so you can spend time doing more important things.
- Speed — Youll enjoy a quicker reunion with your car because we work to minimize repair time.
- Quality — If you choose a repair shop in the Progressive network, or use our concierge service, youll receive a guarantee on the repairs for as long as you own or lease the vehicle. We can offer this to you because we select repair shops in our network based on important factors, including the quality of its repairs.
