Minimum liability coverage limits are increasing:
The state of California is increasing Liability Bodily Injury (BI) and Property Damage (PD) minimum coverage limits starting January 1, 2025. The required limits will increase from $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident, and $5,000 in property damage per accident to $30,000 per person, $60,000 per accident, and $15,000 in property damage per accident.
If your coverage is lower than the new state minimum, we’ll increase your limits to match the new requirements the first time you renew in 2025. Or you can increase your limits any time before then. Please know this change may impact the cost of your policy.
